Job Purpose 🎯
We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join our high-performing Sustained Engineering team - a curious, impact-driven, cross-functional group focused on maintaining and strengthening the quality, reliability, and governance of our events data. This role is responsible for ensuring data quality and reliability, while continuously strengthening the systems and processes that support our product at scale.
You’ll work at the heart of our data platform, collaborating closely with software engineers, data engineers, data scientists, and data quality specialists to investigate complex data quality issues, improve detection and monitoring, and ensure our core datasets remain accurate and trustworthy. Using Snowflake SQL, Python, and AI-driven tooling, you’ll automate manual workflows, resolve data quality problems at scale, and help the business move faster with confidence.

Key Responsibilities 🔑
Write, use and maintain automated data quality checks and dashboards.
Proactively identify and investigate unexpected behaviour or unusual patterns in our data or pipelines.
Maintain clear, concise documentation of quality issues and any resolutions.
Monitor, action and improve our data observability tests and take an active role in owning improvements to our data quality.
Continuously expand your technical product knowledge and stay up to date with product updates.
Support ad-hoc analysis requests from product, marketing, and customer success teams.
Partner with our customer support team to investigate and understand data questions/needs.
Regularly share learnings and best practices with the wider team.
Skills, Knowledge and Competencies 🧠
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a structured approach to problem-solving.
Ability to efficiently investigate, analyse and diagnose data issues.
Comfortable working in a cross-functional team and handling diverse tasks.
Quick to learn new tools, adapt to new technologies and updates related to the product and our data.
Solid understanding of data quality principles and their role in delivering a great customer experience.
Basic statistics/spreadsheet skills (summarising, trend detection and insights).
Basic experience writing and running SQL and/or Python scripts.
Experience using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) to complete manual tasks and/or highlight data quality issues.
Nice to have ➕
Experience with dashboarding or visualisation (PowerBI, Looker, Excel or similar BI tools).
