Job Purpose 🛠️
As a Senior Frontend Engineer in our R&D team, you’ll work on larger, planned product initiatives that help customers get to value faster with PredictHQ.
You’ll be involved early in shaping solutions and user experience for time-boxed initiatives, working closely with lead engineers, data scientists, product, design, senior architects, and the CTO. Most of your work will be customer-facing, building intuitive, data-rich interfaces that expose complex demand intelligence clearly and accurately. You’ll also contribute to internal tools that support faster delivery and better outcomes.
This role suits someone who enjoys owning meaningful chunks of work end-to-end, making pragmatic trade-offs within fixed time budgets, and shipping production-ready solutions on a clear cadence.
You’ll be working within a global business trusted by some of the world’s most recognisable brands. This role offers the opportunity to work on a mature, high-impact product used to make real commercial decisions, alongside an experienced and passionate engineering team, with meaningful ownership and room to make a lasting difference.
Key Responsibilities 🔑
Deliver frontend work as part of larger, planned product initiatives, owning meaningful chunks of work end-to-end.
Participate early in initiative shaping, contributing to solution design and user experience, not just implementation.
Shape scope and make pragmatic technical and UX trade-offs to deliver the best possible solution within a fixed time budget.
Architect, build, and evolve frontend applications and components, with scalable and maintainable styling approaches, where appropriate for the goals of an initiative.
Collaborate closely with Product and Design, working from existing designs and contributing to new ones when needed.
Build intuitive, data-rich interfaces that clearly and accurately represent complex demand intelligence.
Ensure frontend work performs reliably at scale and supports customers in making high-impact decisions.
Improve existing systems, patterns, and components that materially support the goals of an initiative.
Contribute to and champion a shared component library that supports consistency and delivery speed across the product.
Support and mentor other engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
Skills, Knowledge and Competencies ⭐️
Significant experience building and maintaining customer-facing, data-rich production applications where correctness and usability matter.
Awareness of frontend security best practices when building customer-facing applications, including safe handling of data, authentication flows, and common web vulnerabilities.
Strong experience architecting modular, stateful UIs using TypeScript-first frameworks, with Vue.js preferred, Nuxt beneficial, and React considered as a fallback.
Strong experience with modern front-end fundamentals, particularly TypeScript, component-driven development, and scalable styling approaches.
Ability to understand complex business rules and represent them accurately in the UI.
Close attention to detail, especially when working with data-rich interfaces where accuracy matters.
Comfortable collaborating across disciplines, particularly with Product, Design or Marketing teams.
A learning mindset - you may not have used every tool we have, but you’re curious, adaptable, and keen to grow.
Bonus: experience with design or UX, or a strong appreciation for usability, accessibility, and visual clarity in complex interfaces.
